The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association, Inc. (JPMA) has developed a certification system to identify which products have been manufactured with safety in mind. Those which have the JPMA seal have been safety tested to the highest degree.
In addition to the safety requirements set by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), JPMA's certification seal is only available to manufacturers who voluntarily submit their products for testing. Products go through rigorous testing and if it passes on all levels then it can display the certification seal.
Baby's Dream products have gone through rigorous testing including:
- 30 pound pressure test on all drop-gate latches
- Hang point hazard test
- Impact test on corners and joints of the crib with 100 pound force
- 300 lb mattress spring test
Look for the JPMA seal while you're shopping for a crib. It's an easy way to make sure the crib you choose meets the highest standards for safety.
In addition, the extra steps Baby's Dream takes to ensure crib safety include:
- Patented drop-gate making it impossible for small children or grown babies to operate the crib without an adult arm span.
- Deepest mattress level in the industry, preventing the baby from climbing out of the crib and allowing the baby to sleep in the crib longer.
- Metal inserts and bolt construction. All holes are predrilled with metal inserts reducing the possibility of the hardware stripping during conversation, to ensure the crib is sturdy through all stages.
- No exterior hardware to reduce the chance of babies playing with or loosening hardware.
- Non-toxic finishes to ensure furniture is lead-free.
